Get Ready for School
It's never too early to start getting your child ready for school. The early years of a child's life are critical for development, learning and interaction with others.
This educational and fun program has been adapted from the successful Get Ready for School course used in Kip McGrath Education Centres around the world. It allows you to be actively involved in creating a positive learning experience for your child in the comfort of your own home and at a time that suits your family.
This preschool program is designed to help your child enjoy getting ready for school. It contains essential learning concepts and important school readiness skills, including:
* how to hold a pencil
* recognising letter sounds and name
* alphabet
* writing own name
* number recognition
* writing numbers and letters
* identifying colours
* shape recognition
* memory skills
* hand and eye coordination
* visual discrimination
* learning behaviours
* fine motor skills
The program includes 20 individual lessons to help your child prepare for school. The goal is for your child to become a more independent learner using the skills formed from these lessons. Each lesson has revision activities that can be done throughout the week so that learning is continually reinforced. The program contains a mix of computer work, parent directed activities, work-sheets and great fun.
The Get Ready for School program will help your child be ready to learn from the moment they start school. They can feel successful from day one, because they already possess the skills necessary to learn.
